Under the direction of percussionist, composer and arranger, Julian Silva, La Excelencia showcases their dynamic energy and powerful sound that solidified their place as one of salsa’s most sought after bands. Along with powerful vocals by Gilberto Velazquez, Salsa Na’Ma features the talent of longtime members Willy Rodriguez (Piano), Ronald Prokopez (Trombone), Jonathan Powell (Trumpet), Mike Engstrom (Trombone), Luis Arona (Bass), Nestor Villar (Bongo) and two new members, Jonathan Gomez (Congas) and Keefe Martin (Trumpet).

Produced by Julian Silva, recorded and co-produced by Kamilo Kratc, and mixed by seasoned producer/engineer, Charles Dos Santos, Salsa Na’Ma builds upon the salsa dura legacy of La Excelencia’s previous three albums. “While the musical inspiration for this new material started long ago, what sets this new release apart is a more mature an elevated level of musicianship that can only come with time,” says Julian Silva. This new music represents a continuation of La Excelencia at its finest. Salsa Na’Ma is a preview of the full studio album slated for release in early 2020.
